Reports To: Head of Operations / COO
Role Summary
The Accounts & Finance Officer is responsible for managing the organization’s day-to-day financial operations while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all accounting and finance functions. The role supports executive decision-making through timely financial reporting, cash flow management, project costing, budgeting, payroll support, procurement oversight, and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledgers.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Support payroll processing and statutory deductions.
- Prepare VAT, PAYE, NIS, and other statutory filings.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Coordinate audit requirements and maintain supporting documentation.
- Support procurement and financial control processes.
- Produce project profitability and recurring revenue reports.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Minimum three (3) years accounting or finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACCA Level II or above.
- Experience in technology or project-based organizations.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
